How many hundreds of dollars did you spend on your gear? Lots, right? And how do you protect it? First, you always corral your snowboard or skis, even if you're running inside just for a drink. NEVER leave your board unattended, always lock it up. Now you can go one step further and use the itsMYboard.com ski, surfboard & snowboard registration service.

Click on the register tab above to create an account. You'll then log-in to manage your gear. You'll need your board information; make, model, serial number, and if applicable bindings make and model to fill out your registration form. You will also need a digital picture of your snowboard, skis or surfboard on your computer that you upload to the service to complete your registration. Do not hesitate to register your gear with itsMYboard.com to help fight theft. It will take only a few minutes to complete the registration and it takes less than 30 seconds for someone to walk off with your stuff.

The registry is totally free and (for now) it gets you a hard plastic Photo ID card of your board. We recommend that you carry it with you when snowboarding, skiing or surfing. You also get a sticker (again this is for a limited time) to put on your board to show that your board is REGISTERED. The ID (pictured above) contains your name along with the board & bindings info. Additionally, this information is saved to our database and can be searched and retrieved at any time.

If your board goes missing you'll have all your information at hand to fill out the report at ski patrol or with your local police. The card also serves to prove the board is yours if you catch someone trying to steal it. If your board goes missing you can put out a BoardAlert so other users can keep an eye out.

We may not be able to help recover any lost or stolen boards, but we're trying to deter and even prevent theft. The more users registering their gear, the more secure everyones boards will be.
